    Coface Insurance became a member of the Association

     

    Coface Insurance started its activities in Turkey after having received authorization on 18 January 2007 in the field of credit insurance. Coface became a member of the Association of the Insurance and Reinsurance Companies of Turkey in February 2007.
     

    Emek Life Insurance changed its corporate name

     

    Emek Life Insurance changed its corporate name as New Life Insurance and regained its right to enter into contracts in the field of insurance and reinsurance.
     

    Discussions over the Draft Insurance Law were held in the Turkish Grand National Assembly Committees

     

    Discussions over the Draft Insurance Law were held in the Turkish Grand National Assembly Committees on 27-28 February 2007 and the draft was approved. The approved draft is expected to be discussed in the General Assembly before coming into force.
    The draft has been prepared in line with the progressive harmonization with the acquis communautaire.
    The coming into force of the Insurance Law has been set as a precondition by the European Commission for the use of EU funds by the Turkish insurance sector.
