Regulation on Insurance Arbitration is published on 17 August 2007 in the Turkish Official Gazette No: 26616. The Regulation governs the principles and rules of the insurance arbitration system established in accordance with Insurance Law No: 5684 to settle the disputes arising from the insurance contract between the policy holder or people benefiting from the insurance contract on the one side and the party undertaking the risk on the other side.

Regulation on the Financial Structure of Insurance and Reinsurance Companies is published on 7 August 2007 in the Turkish Official Gazette No: 26606. The aim of this Regulation is to regulate the principles and procedures relating to the financial structure of the insurance, reinsurance and pension companies, to the measures to protect the rights and interests of the insured and to the operations against companies having insolvency problems.

The Association participated to the “Seminar on the Implications of the New Insurance Law” held by Istanbul Chamber of Commerce on 22 August 2007. During the seminar, the Deputy Secretary General of the Association, Mr. Erdinç Yurtseven made an encompassing presentation on the implications of the new law from the point of view of the Association and the Turkish insurance sector.
