The Association published the book concerning the 4th and 5th meetings of the conference series called “the Primary Problems of the Turkish Insurance Sector throughout Turkey's EU Membership Process” |

The book including the presentations made at the 4th and 5th meetings of the conference series called “The Primary Problems of the Turkish Insurance Sector Throughout Turkey’s EU Membership Process”, held by the Association, is published. The book covers the presentations made at the conferences; “Mortgage Insurance Products”, on February 8th, 2006, and “Analizing the Draft Law of Mortgage”, on March 31, 2006.
“Mortgage Insurance Products” conference, organized by the reference of the British Insurers’ Association, took place with the participation of specialists from the British Genworth Financial company. During the conference, the applications in the UK, difficulties faced and the solutions were among the topics discussed. Bureaucrats and foreign specialists participated to the second conference where the Draft Law of Mortgage was discussed. |

The Association participated to the Annual Business Meeting of IAIFA |

The Association pariticipated to the annual business meeting of International Association of Insurance Fraud Agencies, for 2006, held by a teleconference on August 28, 2006.
The official report and the budget of 2005 were discussed and approved at the meeting, where the Vice Presidents and the members of the Counselling Committee were elected. During the meeting, the place for the Executive Board meeting of 2007 was also discussed. The meeting ended by deciding on to determine the meeting place at a future date. |

The Association met the World Bank authorities within the framework of FSAP |

World Bank authorities paid a visit to the Association within the framework of Financial Sector Assessment Program (FSAP).
The problems of the insurance sector were discussed at the meeting where information regarding the Turkish insurance sector was given to the World Bank authorities. The questions of the World Bank authorities concerning the associations such as TRAMER, EGM and the claim process, compulsory tariffs, foreign share in the sector, were answered.
Within the framework of Financial Sector Assessment Program, the World Bank and IMF will prepare a report covering the Turkish financial and the insurance sectors. |

The Association participated to the Preparatory Meeting for FATF (Financial Action Task Force) Evaluation |

The Association participated to the “Preparatory Meeting for FATF Evaluation”, on August 29th, 2006, under the presidency of Financial Crimes Investigation Board (MASAK). Representatives of the relevant bodies and the private sector participated to the preparatory meeting, which was held before the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) Meeting, to take place between 4-16 September 2006, where struggle against money laundering and financing of terrorism will be examined.
At the meeting, which was held before the visit of the FATF delegation, MASAK gave information about the relevant bodies, the staff to take part in the meeting delegation, the information note to be prepared by the Association, Turkish and English documents to be kept during the meeting and the topics of the meeting.
